Family Participation is Encouraged
At Paper Planes Early Learning Centre, families take an active role in the education of the child. Constant communication between the families, educators, children and other families is fundamental to the curriculum and creates a rich social environment for everyone involved.
Documentation and communication are done through Kinderloop (our online secure portal) and is provided to families instantaneously as learning is occurring. This provides families to share in their children’s learning journey and provide encouragement and feedback.
Documenting the entire learning process is also paramount and guarantees families are aware of the progress of their child over time and are able to assist educators in meeting each child’s needs.
As early childhood educators, Paper Planes Early Learning Centre understands the important role that a family plays in creating positive relationships between the child and Early Learning Centre. Families are viewed as our ‘partners’ and we believe we have a shared goal in educating the children.
Parent and siblings will become closely acquainted with our philosophy and we encourage involvement through family events, visible documentation and providing a warm and nurturing environment and sharing daily experiences with families.
